Typhoid

Typhoid is a water borne disease.

Causes: It is caused by germs which reach people through food, water, or milk that has been contaminated.

Symptoms:

1. Severe headache

2. Feebleness

3. Nose

4. Rise of temperature

5. It may cause acute stomach pain (constipation).

Prevention:

1. Please always cover your food.

2. Wash your hand properly before eating.

3. It is also advisable to boil water before drinking it.

4. Strict solution and thorough disinfectant are necessary.

Test:

The traditional way of testing for typhoid get a roasted yam scrape of the back, use the white parts of it to eat red palm oil before going to bed. The next day go to excrete in a place you will see the excreta then  examine it, if it is normal then is negative.

Solution:

Get some quantity of garlic and onions, grind and soak in a clean cold water and allow to ferment for about 5-6 hours. Then get some quantity of basil leaves (Nchawu in Igbo) (Ifirin in Yoruba), combine with lemon grass and squeeze to bring out water. Mix the garlic and onions with the juice of basil and lemon grass, shake properly.
